NATURE OF INCIDENT: Burglary Suspect Arrested

INCIDENT DATE: 1/25/2016
INCIDENT TIME: 2:21 a.m.
INCIDENT LOCATION: 100 South block of 14th Avenue East Duluth

On January 25th, 2016, at 2:21 a.m. Duluth Police responded to a residence in the 100 South block of 14th Avenue East on a report of a burglary.  Officers arrived at the residence and spoke to the victim who stated that she was awoken by noises and had signs of someone being inside her home.   Officers stopped a male walking near the residence where the burglary took place identified as 24 year old Travis Michael Thompson.   Stolen items from the burglary were located near where Thompson was stopped.   Through investigation it was determined that Thompson was the suspect in the burglary.  Thompson was arrested and has been formally charged in St. Louis County District Court for 1st Degree Burglary.
