Mayor Larson kicks off community listening series
“City Hall in the City”
February 24
Mayor Larson will be hosting community listening series with each City Councilor in their respective districts
[Duluth, MN] – Mayor Emily Larson and Fifth District City Councilor Jay Fosle invite the public to attend "City Hall in the City," the first in a series of community listening sessions focused on providing residents with the chance to share ideas, concerns and needs with the Mayor and a Councilor.
In the past, most Mayors Nights have been held in City Hall. "Being out in the community, in places where neighbors gather, is in keeping with the values I campaigned on. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with residents and hearing what’s on their minds. The best part of Duluthians is that they’re willing to share it," says Mayor Larson.
Residents are welcome to attend, meet individually with Mayor Larson and Councilor Fosle, or to write down their concerns to be reviewed with staff at a later date. In addition, Mayor Larson will have art supplies there for children to share their own ideas for the City. Drawings from February 24th will be collected, hung in the Mayor’s office and shared with Councilor Fosle.
This first City Hall in the City will take place on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 5:30 pm in the Gary New Duluth Community and Recreation Center, 801 101st Ave West.
Residents can save the date for the next meeting which will take place Wednesday, March 16 in partnership with Council President Zack Filipovich. The location will be confirmed in a forthcoming public notice.
All residents are encouraged to participate.
