NATURE OF INCIDENT: Heroin Drug Arrests

INCIDENT LOCATION: 1300 block of Highland Village Drive in Duluth

On Friday, February 12th, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. Duluth Police and the Lake Superior Drug & Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1300 block of Highland Village Drive in Duluth.  During the execution of the search warrant, investigators seized 33.3 grams of Heroin packaged for sale, drug paraphernalia and approximately $2,000 in U.S. Currency.  25 year old Bianca Jackson and 29 year old Shawn Joseph Brown both of Chicago, IL were arrested.  Jackson and Brown were taken to jail and have been formally charged in St. Louis District Court for 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. 

 

Jackson was previously charged with Controlled Substance Crime in the First Degree in St. Louis County District Court with an offense date in February 2015. Jackson entered a guilty plea to these charges on February 2, 2016, and is scheduled to be sentenced next month.  Brown has a criminal history and has been convicted in Illinois for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon in a Motor Vehicle in 2003, Felony Manufacture/Deliver Marijuana Between 30-500 Grams in 2006, Dangerous Drugs in 2007, two counts of Dangerous Drugs including Sale to Minor in 2012, and Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance in 2012.
