Rehabilitation Work on the Aerial Lift Bridge Complete
The City of Duluth is informing the public about the completion of the project to replace the wire ropes which serve to raise and lower the Duluth Aerial Lift Bridge. The project was completed on February 18, 2016 and both lanes on the bridge are now open to traffic.
The original construction schedule anticipated that the project would not be complete until the end of February. Through the diligent efforts of Lakehead Constructors and City staff, the project was completed ahead of schedule.
The City thanks the public for their patience and understanding during the project.
