Utility work on Michigan Street starts March 9

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities department is planning to clean the sanitary sewers on West Michigan St.  starting tomorrow, March 9. Utility Operations crews will start cleaning between 5th Ave W and Lake Ave. The project should take about a week to complete and is being done in preparation for a future cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining project. The cleaning crew will start at 5th Ave W and work east, with a partial closure of one lane of traffic (at each access manhole) as the crew works toward Lake Ave. Motorists should be able to access the road but are asked to pass the work site with caution and at a reduced speed.
