Proposed work to impact two Duluth roads next week
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is informing the public about two upcoming projects that will impact the use of East 4th Street in the East Hillside neighborhood and 4th Ave West in downtown next week.
East 4th Street:
Due to the poor condition of East 4th Street, crews will be patching the road starting Monday, March 28, 2016. The area between 12 and 13th Ave East will be marked as no parking and no through traffic will be allowed. Crews will work one block at a time repairing potholes to improve road conditions. As the crews progress east, each affected block will be marked as no parking. Crews plan to work every day next week assuming suitable weather conditions. As a reminder, 4th Street is slated for total reconstruction by St. Louis County this summer.
4th Ave West:
As part of the maurices Headquarters project, Charter Communications cable lines will be connected to the new building. The work will occur on 4th Ave West between Superior St and the 1st St alley requiring road closures to occur in two phases. The northbound lane will be closed on Tuesday March 29th after 9:00 AM for the rest of the day. Then, on Wednesday March 30th, the southbound lane will be closed after 9:00 am for the rest of the day. The alley will be accessible.
