NATURE OF INCIDENT: Suspect Arrested and Charged for 2nd Degree Burglary

INCIDENT LOCATION: 400 North block 42nd Avenue West Duluth

On Thursday March 31st, 2016, at 1:24 p.m., Duluth Police arrested 21 year old Scott Robert Vercelline Jr. after responding to the report of a burglary in progress in the 400 North block of 42nd Avenue West. A person called 911 to report that they heard the sound of breaking glass from the area of 400 block of North 42nd Avenue West and a short time later saw a male walking out of the front door.  Duluth Police located a male in the area who was identified as 21 year old Scott Robert Vercelline Jr. Vercelline was determined to be the same male who walked out of the address where the burglary took place and also provided a statement confessing to breaking into the residence.  Vercelline was taken to jail and formally charged in St. Louis County District Court for 2nd Degree Burglary.
