NATURE OF INCIDENT: Heroin Drug Arrest

INCIDENT LOCATION: 7200 block of Grand Avenue Duluth

On Monday, April 18th, 2016 at approximately 12:35 p.m. Duluth Police and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force arrested 26 year old Deonte Antonio Bowery of Chicago, IL on probable cause based on previous controlled substance crime investigations.  Investigators observed Bowery make his way into a room at a motel in the 7200 block of Grand Avenue in Duluth.  Bowery was taken into custody at that time. Investigators located $383.00 in U.S. Currency, a room key, along with 30 packages of white heroin and 10 packages of brown heroin in the front pocket of his underwear totaling 24 grams.  Investigators also located $7,100 dollars in U.S. Currency in a night stand inside the room he was staying in.   Bowery was taken to jail and formally charged in St. Louis District Court on 1st degree sale of a controlled substance and two counts of 3rd degree sale of a controlled substance charges.

Bowery has prior convictions for Controlled Substance Crimes out of the State of Illinois from 2013.
