NATURE OF INCIDENT: Heroin Drug Arrest

INCIDENT LOCATION: 2700 block West Michigan Street Duluth

On Tuesday, April 19th, 2016 at 1:58 p.m., Duluth Police, the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, Superior Police, and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28 year old Darrell Williams of Chicago, IL.   Investigators executed a search warrant at a West Duluth motel registered to Williams.  During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located fifty individually packaged heroin weighing 26.6 grams in the left rear pocket of Levi's jeans which were contained inside of a duffle bag in the room. Additionally, inside of the duffle bag there were 24 individually packaged heroin weighing 12.7 grams along with $2,500 in U.S. Currency.  Williams was taken to jail and formally charged in St. Louis District Court on 1st degree sale of a controlled substance.
