Lift Bridge to resume nighttime closure schedule on March 26
 

The Aerial Lift Bridge rehabilitation project will resume temporary nighttime closures for five nights, beginning in the early morning hours of March 26, 2010 through March 30, 2010.   

 

The bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. during this closure period. The bridge will be opened to vehicular traffic on the hour (2:00 a.m., 3:00 a.m., 4:00 a.m., and 5:00 a.m.,) to clear any waiting traffic. 

Single-lane vehicle traffic over the bridge will continue when the bridge is open to traffic.

 

This closure is necessary to continue tear down of the scaffold and platform system used in last winter’s repainting of the bridge tower and repair of structural steel elements.
