INCIDENT LOCATION: 2700 block West Michigan Street Duluth
On Wednesday, April 27th, 2016 at 12:20 p.m. Duluth and Superior Police along with the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force arrested 34 year old Dennis Earl Hansen of Superior, WI after a search warrant was executed on a motel room in West Duluth. During the search warrant, investigators located and seized drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, 3.4 grams of methamphetamine, a small clear zippered bag containing 13 yellow pills which were identified as a Schedule IV controlled substance, a substantial amount of U.S. currency, and a loaded handgun. Hansen was taken to jail and formally charged in St. Louis District Court on 3rd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
