Traffic Detour/Street Closure for Far West Fest June 24th - June 26th, 2016.

 

The Far West Fest Community Celebration will start on Friday June 24th, and continue through Sunday June 26th.  However, Dixon Street from Commonwealth to 99th Avenue West will be the closed off for event setup starting Thursday June 23rd .

 

On Saturday June 25th , Commonwealth Avenue will close to traffic at approximately 08:00 a.m. and won't re-open until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday June 26th .  Barricades, Detours, and One Way Streets will remain in place overnight Saturday into Sunday.

 

During the event traffic will be detoured to 99th  and 101st  Avenue west.   99th  Avenue west will be signed as ONE WAY NORTHBOUND, and 101st  Avenue West will be signed as ONE WAY SOUTHBOUND.

 

Southbound traffic on Commonwealth will be directed  west on Reis Street, south on 101st  Avenue West to Gary Street, then east on Gary Street back to Commonwealth Avenue. 

 

Northbound traffic on Commonwealth Avenue will be directed east on Gary Street , north on 99th  Avenue West to Reis Street, then west on Reis Street back to Commonwealth Avenue.

 

DTA buses will follow the detoured routes.

 

Areas of Gary Street, Reis Street, 99th Avenue West, and 101st Avenue West will be posted no parking, to accommodate vehicle, bus, and truck traffic during street closure times.

 

Drivers are asked to use caution in the area during this event, and to watch for detours, barricades, no parking signs, and officers directing traffic.
