SUBJECT: Annual Stormwater Meeting Set for April 28th

Duluth's Annual Stormwater meeting set for Wednesday, April 28th
The City of Duluth will hold its annual public meeting on April 28th, 2010 to discuss the stormwater program and invite the public tocomment on Duluth's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program (SWPPP), along with approaches to storm water issues affecting the region.
The meeting will be held at the City of Duluth Utility Operations facility located at 520 Garfield Avenue beginning at 6:00 PM. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
The agenda will begin with a short background on the Clean Water Act regulations, a summary of Duluth's stormwater activities from the past year, and a summary of other innovative stormwater activities in the region. Also included will be a brief presentation on the requirements of Phase II NPDES (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System) permits for MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems) and a time for comments and concerns from the public.

Stormwater flows to our streams and Lake Superior without treatment. Pollution prevention is vital to maintaining our high quality water. Please do not dump anything in a storm drain, ditch or catch basin.
