Duluth to offer curbside pick up

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is offering curbside pick up starting next Monday for storm damaged tree debris as another option for clean up. Residents can still use the drop off site on Rice Lake Road for remaining tree debris. That site is open 8-6 pm this weekend with planned extensions of that service. The City has hired a contractor to help with debris removal starting next week and will start in the Woodland neighborhood.

Residents are asked to lay out branches, trunks and brush on the boulevard or their front yard by Sunday evening, 9 PM. Please do not block sidewalks or lay items in the street. A contractor will be going street by street starting in the Woodland neighborhood to pick up tree debris. Please do not place household items, yard waste or garbage with the tree debris.

The contractor will not pick up other yard or food waste. Those items should be brought to the WLSSD waste drop off site. www.wlssd.com

As a reminder, Hartley Park and trails are closed due to the storm damage until further notice. Lester Park trails are also closed for now.
