City of Duluth Community Development Program Taking Grant Applications for 2017 Funding Cycle    


[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth’s Community Planning Division is preparing for its 2017 application cycle of funding from federal programs including: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Act (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). The purpose of these programs is to coordinate effective neighborhood and community development strategies in working with low-income and homeless individuals and families to address basic needs and stabilization services. Local non-profits, for-profit businesses, governmental units and institutions of higher education are encouraged to apply.

The Community Development (CD) Committee reviews applications for Community Development Program funding and makes funding recommendations to the City Council.


Applications for CDBG, ESG and HOME can be found online at http://www.duluthmn.gov/community-planning/community-development-funding/community-development-program/ . Applications are due on September 2, 2016.
