INCIDENT LOCATION: 28th Avenue West and Superior Street in Duluth
On Tuesday, August 2nd, investigators from the Lake Superior Drug & Violent Crime Task Force with the assistance of the Duluth Police Department, St. Louis Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Superior Police Department, Cloquet Police Department and the Fond Du Lac Police Department arrested multiple individuals in the Twin Ports and the Fond Du Lac Reservation with distributing controlled substances. The distribution of controlled substances included heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana. 46 year old ALEJANDRO MATHEW FRAGOSO from California was arrested on the Fond Du Lac Reservation and charged today in Carlton County District Court with two counts of possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and introducing contraband (drugs) into a jail, lockup or prison. 44 year old KARRIE LENA ROBINSON of Duluth and 47 year old MICHELLE DAWN SOBCZYK of Superior, WI were arrested in Superior and charged today in Douglas County District Court with possession with the intent to deliver heroin, possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession with the intent to deliver marijuana. 24 year old MICHAEL SCOTT SAMPSON of Duluth was arrested at a residence in the area of 28th Avenue West and Superior Street. SAMPSON was charged today in Saint Louis County District Court with second degree sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree. SAMPSON has four convictions in the last five years for controlled substance crimes in Saint Louis County.
