SUBJECT: Two Arrested on Drug Charges

INCIDENT LOCATION: Lake Avenue and 7th Street Duluth
On Friday, August 26th, 2016 at 4:00 p.m., Duluth Police and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force arrested 59 year old Barry Foster of Duluth and 38 year old SHERON HOSKINS of Chicago, IL after a search warrant was conducted at a residence in the area of Lake Avenue and 7th Street. In the hours leading up the execution of the search warrant, investigators observed no less than 15 individuals coming and going from the apartment consistent with short term traffic and the sales of controlled substances. Hoskins was arrested fleeing from the apartment as officers approached to execute the search warrant. Hoskins was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and heroin, as well as a significant amount of cash, a digital scale and other drug packaging. During the execution of the search warrant of the residence, Investigators located and seized other evidence related to the sales of controlled substances, as well as the use of controlled substances inside the residence. Hoskins was taken to jail and criminally charged in Saint Louis District Court on two counts of 3rd degree sale of a controlled substance. Foster was taken to jail and criminally charged in Saint Louis District Court for aiding and abetting 3rd degree sale of a controlled substance.
