Slide the City Event Traffic Advisory

 

On Saturday, September 10th, Slide the City Event will be held on 12th Avenue East between London Road and 2nd Street.  The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Streets around the event will close beginning at 4:00 a.m. – 12:00 midnight for event setup and teardown.

At 4:00 a.m., eastbound Superior Street traffic will be sent up 10th  Avenue East to 2nd Street and continue East. London Road will be closed from 10th Avenue East to 13th Avenue East.

Westbound traffic on London Road, Superior Street, and 1st Street will be sent up 14th Avenue East to 3rd Street and continue West.

Roadways to local businesses including Walgreens, CVS, and Super One will remain open and these businesses will be accessible, however traffic will not be allowed to cross 12th Avenue East.

DTA buses will follow the detour routes.

Drivers in the area are urged to use caution while driving in the area, slow down, watch for pedestrians and follow detours. All traffic should return to normal by 12 midnight.
