City to purge gas line October 27, part of utilities upgrades for 4th Street
Reconstruction Project
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is informing the public about a planned gas line purge at 18th Ave East and 4th Street on Thursday, October 27, 2016 that will commence around 11 AM and last 1-2 hours. People in the neighborhood will smell a gas odor but should not be concerned. This purging allows trapped air in the newly installed gas line to clear before the City can activate gas service to the new line. The upgraded utilities are part of the overall project to reconstruct and improve 4th Street.
