On October 18, 2016 there was an arson fire at 1311 W 3rd Street. There were seven people in the building at the time of the arson fire, all occupants were able to escape safely, however the fire caused over $75,000 in damages.

 

The Duluth Fire Department and Police Department are asking for anyone who knows anything about the fire to please call 1-800-723-2020. There is up to a $5000 reward from the Minnesota Chapter of International Association of Arson Investigators for any information that could lead to a conviction.

 

Witnesses reported  seeing a Drone flying in the area of the fire scene. The Fire Marshal is requesting the assistance of the public in locating the owner of the Drone for video or pictures of the fire scene, please call 730-4398.
