GATEWAY TOWER MAINTENANCE TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE SUPERIOR STREET DECEMBER 1ST
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is informing the public about the upcoming temporary closure of Superior Street, west of 6th Avenue West, scheduled for Thursday, December 1st starting at 7:00 AM. The closure of this western section of Superior Street is anticipated to last until 2:00 PM unless the weather or unforeseen conditions require additional days for the work. This closure will allow for the placement of a crane in front of Gateway Tower apartments for workers to perform scheduled maintenance. The sidewalk in front of Gateway Tower will be closed to pedestrian traffic. Any adjustments to the Duluth Transit Authority bus route will be available at www.duluthtransit.com.
Access to Superior Street from I-35 northbound will be limited to the Michigan Street exit and access from West Superior Street by the M&H gas station eastbound will be required to use the Mesaba Avenue exit.
Please watch for slow traffic on these ramps during the temporary closure. Motorists should plan for additional travel time.
