Residents Encouraged to Apply for Duluth Transit Authority Board of Directors
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is inviting interested residents to serve on the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) Board of Directors. The City is seeking a diverse pool of applicants to fill four vacancies representing the 1st, 3rd and 5th Council Districts and one At-Large position. DTA Board members provide valuable input and leadership on public transit. The Board consists of nine members; five of which represent the five City Council districts, one representative from the City of Superior, and three representing the City of Duluth At-Large. Meetings are scheduled for the last Wednesday of each month. Each member may serve two consecutive three year terms on the Board. Residents meeting the residency requirement are encouraged to apply.
To be considered, an applicant needs to fill out and submit an application either online or in paper form with the City Clerk’s office, Room 330, Duluth City Hall, 411 W 1st Street, Duluth, MN 55802. Applications can be submitted online on the Clerk's web page at, http://www.duluthmn.gov/boards-commissions/ Applications are kept on file for two years.
The Mayor forwards recommendations for City Boards and Commissions appointments to the City Council for approval.
