INCIDENT LOCATION: 1500 block of East 1st Street in Duluth

On Tuesday, December 13th, 2016, Duluth Police and the Investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of East 1st Street in Duluth following an investigation into the sale of heroin at that address. During a search of the residence investigators located heroin, including 29 pieces of heroin packaged for sale, U.S. currency and other evidence of the sale of heroin. Investigators arrested Frederick Lorrell Holt, a 25 year old male of Duluth.

On Friday, December 16th, 2016, Frederick Holt was formally charged in Saint Louis County District Court with 2nd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. Holt’s bail was set at $300,000.  Holt has previous convictions in Minnesota for four counts of 3rd Degree Sale of Controlled Substance, two counts of Kidnapping; Aid and Abet 3rd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, Terroristic Threats and 5th Degree Assault.  At the time of his arrest, Holt was on Supervised Release since 06/06/2016 for his previous Kidnapping and Controlled Substance Sales convictions.
