On Thursday, February 9th, Duluth and Superior Police Departments, Douglas County Sheriff’s Department along with investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force arrested 35 year old Byron Terrell Robinson of Duluth after executing a search warrant at an apartment in the 500 block of North 40th Avenue West. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the suspected sale of controlled substances, specifically fentanyl. During the search, investigators located and seized 11.5 grams of fentanyl, digital scales and drug packaging. The fentanyl was individually packaged for sale. Robinson was taken to the Saint Louis County Jail on sale of a controlled substance charge.
On Monday, February 13th, 2017, Robinson was formally charged in Saint Louis District Court on 2nd Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. At the time of arrest, Robinson was on parole in Douglas County Wisconsin where he was convicted of six counts of delivery of heroin.
