SUBJECT: Shooting Incident Update

INCIDENT DATE: 2/14/2017
INCIDENT TIME: 2:00 p.m.
INCIDENT LOCATION: 500 block of East 11th Street in Duluth

On Tuesday, February 14th, 2017 at around 2:00 p.m., Duluth Police responded to the area of the 500 block of East 11th Street on a report of a shooting incident.  Police arrived and determined the shooting occurred inside a residence.  Police found a 22 year old male who was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  Police have detained several individuals, are conducting interviews and have identified a possible motive.  Police are working in earnest on all leads and expect to do an updated media release at 8:00 PM.  If you have information regarding this incident, please contact 911

Update:

The Duluth Police Department and several Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFE) Agents are currently conducting search warrants.  We have a person of interest detained.  The investigation will continue overnight and we expect to update the media tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
