SUBJECT: Suspects Arrested in Homicide Incident

INCIDENT TIME: 2:00 p.m.
INCIDENT LOCATION: 500 block of East 11th Street in Duluth
On Friday, March 3rd, 2017, the Duluth Police Department along with members of the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force arrested four people in the shooting death of 22-year-old William Andrew Grahek. A fifth person involved in this homicide was already in custody at the St. Louis County Jail on unrelated charges. The decision to arrest these individuals was made in conjunction with St. Louis County Attorney’s Office. On February 14th, 2017, Duluth Police had responded to the area of the 500 block of East 11th Street on a report of a shooting. Grahek, the victim from the shooting was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he died. The Duluth Police Department is requesting charges from the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office on the following individuals for the following charges:
• Deandre Demetrius Davenport 8/13/95 2nd Degree Intentional Homicide
• Noah Duane Baker 7/17/97 2nd Degree Intentional Homicide
• Noah Anthony Charles King 6/25/98 2nd Degree Intentional Homicide
• Tara Rai Baker 7/18/94 Aid and Abet 2nd Degree Intentional Homicide
• Xavier Alfred Haywood 7/15/90 Aiding an Offender
This continues to be an active investigation and we are continuing to follow up on numerous leads. No more information will be available at this time but we anticipate formal complaints by Tuesday March 7, 2017.
