SUBJECT: 24 Year Old Female Formally Charged in St. Louis District Court on Drug Charges

INCIDENT LOCATION: 200 block of West 3rd Street in Duluth
On Tuesday, March 7th, 2017, Investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant on a motor vehicle and four occupants of the motor vehicle following a traffic stop in the City of Duluth. The stop was the result of an investigation into the sale of controlled substances, specifically methamphetamine, by a person in the vehicle. During the search investigators recovered approximately 179 grams of methamphetamine, 26 grams of marijuana, a loaded handgun, handgun ammunition, digital scales and U.S. currency.
Investigators arrested 24 year old Morningstar Webster, from Cloquet, Minnesota, on a probable cause charge of 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. Webster was also arrested on outstanding felony, gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor arrest warrants from St. Louis County. Yesterday, March 9th 2017, Webster was formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office with Aggravated 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance and 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance. Webster’s bail was set at $75,000.
At the time of her arrest on March 7th, Webster was on probation in St. Louis County for Theft of a Motor Vehicle, in Hennepin County for two counts of Felony Theft and in Olmsted County for 5th Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
