Temporary Lakewalk Trail Segment Closure Planned Starting on March 13 for Utility Project

 

[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth is informing the public of planned utility work along a segment of the Lakewalk Trail in Canal Park located between the restroom facilities (near the former Endion Station building) and the Fitger’s Complex.

 

The Lakewalk Trail will be closed starting Monday, March 13 for about two weeks in order for crews to work on the underground drainage system. Lakewalk users will be detoured up into Lake Place Park then reconnect back to the trail. Progress on the project is dependent on weather and wind conditions. Crews will be working during the day and reopening the Lakewalk for the evening hours and weekend access. The City thanks the public for their patience and cooperation.
