On Thursday, March 9th 2017, the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1300 block of Minnesota Avenue in the City of Duluth.  The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the suspected sale of controlled substances by suspects at that address.  During the search investigators recovered heroin packaged for sale, methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales, U.S. currency and other evidence of drug sales.  A male suspect attempted to flee on foot from investigators and was taken into custody shortly thereafter while attempting to discard a bag containing approximately 49 grams of heroin. That male was held at the St. Louis County Jail pending formal charges.

On Tuesday, March 14th 2017, the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office formally charged 28 year old Trahern Deshawn Pollard, of Minneapolis, with 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance (Felony), Obstructing the Legal Process with Force (Gross Misdemeanor) and Fleeing Police on Foot (Misdemeanor).  Pollard’s bail was set at $150,000 with no conditions, $100,000 with conditions.
