Duluth Earned Safe and Sick Time Taskforce Continuing to Seek Public Input

 

[Duluth, MN] – The Duluth City Council established an Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) task force this past summer who is engaging and collecting public input in order to consider best options for implementing ESST policies and bring forward policy recommendations to the Duluth City Council. The Taskforce started a series of public engagement sessions with several opportunities still available for the public to attend and provide feedback. The Taskforce has also created an online survey tool to gather input from employers and employees on this topic.

 

The ESST is following a three phase approach with their initial work focused on research and compiling information. The Taskforce has studied other communities and employer policies and practices. Public input will enable the ESST members to further understand employee and employer issues, concerns or ideas. The public engagement opportunities are listed below and open to the public (a new session was added for March 29 and the April 10 meeting will offer childcare):
