Public Meeting on Spirit Mountain Recreation Area (SMRA) Master Plan Update Scheduled for April 20

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth invites the public to attend the Spirit Mountain Recreation Area Master Plan Public meeting on Thursday, April 20, 2017, starting at 6:00 pm at Spirit Mountain Lower Chalet located at 8551 Grand Avenue.  At this meeting, the City’s Community Planning Division and Ecosign Mountain Resort Planners will discuss the planning process and the information and analysis completed to date.

 

The goal of the Master Plan Update process is to study the area in greater detail to develop and implement a long term plan that will maintain but also enhance the Spirit Mountain Recreation Area. Ecosign and City staff are working closely with the Spirit Mountain Recreation Area (SMRA) Board and other relevant stakeholders. The planning process began in September of 2016 and is expected to conclude in July of 2017 with a report presented to the SMRA Board and Planning Commission prior to City Council adoption.
