SUBJECT: Male Formally Charged on Illegal and Stolen Firearm Charges

On Thursday, April 13th 2017, The Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Duluth Police Department Tactical Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of West Palm Street in the City of Duluth. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon.  During a search of the residence investigators recovered a loaded handgun that was determined to be stolen, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Investigators arrested 21 year old Levi Jermar Miller, of Duluth, and lodged him at the St. Louis County Jail pending formal charges.

On Friday, April 14th 2017, Levi Miller was formally charged by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Receiving Stolen Property, both felonies. Miller’s bail was set at $50,000.
