INCIDENT LOCATION: Denfeld School Parking Lot
On Friday, April 28th, 2017 starting at 9:45 a.m., a mock crash demonstration will be held at the Denfeld School parking lot. The purpose of this demonstration is to educate students about the tragic consequences of inattentive and impaired driving. The goal is to encourage students to be safe and responsible while driving a motor vehicle.
Emergency vehicles will be staged in the area before and during the demonstration. Lights and sirens will be activated to simulate a response to a crash scenario and weather permitting; a helicopter may land at the Public School Stadium field.
The mock crash demonstration is hosted by Denfeld High School in partnership with the Duluth Police Department, Duluth Fire Department, Driving for Safe Communities, Gold Cross Ambulance, Essentia Health, St. Luke’s Hospital, Life Link, St. Louis County Rescue Squad, Dukes Towing, and the St. Louis County Medical Examiner.
