The Duluth Police Department completed its new strategic plan in February and has begun the implementation process. Results from the community survey data, the department’s internal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis along with information gathered from community meetings and interviews were utilized to develop the Strategic Plan. Strategic Planning Team of Duluth Police Department staff and community members then worked together to refine and detail the strategic plan to better serve our community. Internal meetings with staff were held to gather their input as the plan took shape. This process included redefining the departments Mission, Core beliefs, values, and goals. In February the departments Command Staff formally adopted the strategic plan. We now begin the hard work of achieving the goals and ideals set forth in this plan.
