INCIDENT LOCATION: Heritage Center/West Superior Street
On Saturday, May 13th, 2017, the Y.W.C.A. Mother's Day Walk/Run will be held. The 5K Run will start at 7:45 a.m. and the 2 mile Walk will start at 8:30 a.m. Streets will close to traffic at 7:15 a.m. Runners and walkers will start at the Heritage Center located at 29th Avenue West and Michigan Street. Both will travel from the Heritage Center parking lot up to Superior Street, west out to 39th Avenue West, up 39th Avenue West to circle back East to Carlton Street. Runners will turn around to take one more similar lap and then continue to finish back at the Heritage Lot. Drivers in the area of the event need to be alert for closed streets, pedestrians, and officers directing traffic.
