INCIDENT LOCATION: 100 North block of 30th Avenue West
On Monday, May 8th, 2017, the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 100 block of North 30th Avenue West. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the suspected sale of controlled substances, specifically heroin, by a male at the address. During the search investigators recovered approximately 14.4 grams of heroin, 1.4 grams of methamphetamine, drug packaging, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, and $835 U.S. currency. The apartment was a flop house where users of controlled substances were staying to purchase and use drugs. Investigators arrested 20 year old Tyjuan Jacob Hill, of Chicago, IL and 32 year old Rachel Marie Annette Fenzel, of Duluth.
On Wednesday, May 10th, 2017, the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office formally charged Tyjuan Hill with 1st Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance and Rachel Fenzel with Disorderly House. Hill’s bail was set at $100,000. Fenzel was released on her own recognizance for her new charge but placed on a hold for probation.
