Imagine Duluth to Host Engagement Sessions this Month

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth's Imagine Duluth 2035 comprehensive planning initiative, will host its next round of social engagement and focus group sessions during the month of June. City staff will provide updates on the work of focus groups, development of policies, and gather additional public input related to the four core issues of transportation, housing, open space, economic development and energy conservation. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.


The sessions are scheduled for the following dates, times and locations:

  

Upcoming Social Engagement Sessions

June 6, 2017- 6PM: Damiano Center, 206 West 4th St.

June 12, 2017- 6PM: Pilgrim Congregational Church, 2310 East 4th St.

June 14, 2017- 6PM: City Center West, 5830 Grand Ave 

Upcoming Focus Group Meetings

Transportation: June 7, 2017- 5PM- City Hall Room 303, 411 West First St.

Energy & Conservation: June 21, 2017- 4:30PM: City Hall Room 303

Open Space: June 29, 2017- 4:30PM: City Hall Room 303

 

All of the sessions are open to the public. 

 

ABOUT IMAGINE DULUTH 2035

The City of Duluth’s Community Planning Division is updating its comprehensive plan. A comprehensive plan is a road map for future development of a community. In the 2006 comprehensive plan, major elements that are critical for decision making in a large city were not fully addressed including, housing, transportation, economic health and open space elements.  Updates to comprehensive plans are made generally every ten to fifteen years.
