The City of Duluth, Duluth Police Department, Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) have officially agreed to a new partnership focused on the prescription drug and opioid epidemic.
The agreement will provide for a Tactical Drug Diversion Team Task Force Officer to be trained and assigned to Duluth and St. Louis County. This officer will investigate drug cases with a focus on prescription pills and opioids.
