Statement from Mayor Emily Larson on the 16th Anniversary of September 11

[Duluth, MN] - Duluth Mayor Emily Larson is releasing this statement on this 16th anniversary of the September 11 attacks that impacted thousands of lives:

"Today, we come together and stand as a united people. Our strength and resolve since that fateful day is what keeps us looking forward and it's the human compassion and American spirit that lifts us up in the depths of darkness. We remember and we honor the thousands who cannot stand with us today. We show gratitude for the dedicated individuals who protect our freedoms near and far."

In honor of September 11, Enger Tower will be lit tonight in red, white and blue colors beginning at sunset. Flags at state buildings are lowered to half-staff.
