Utility Project to Impact Travel on West Michigan Street in Lincoln Park

(closure anticipated through October 3)

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Public Works and Utilities department is working on a gas main at 27^th Ave West and West Michigan Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The west bound lane of West Michigan Street is currently closed. Crews now need to open up the full width of the road to get access to additional segments of the gas main.

The closure is located on West Michigan Street, to the east of 27^th Ave West. Traffic on 27^th Ave W will continue to flow but a detour route for east bound traffic needing access to West Michigan Street will follow 27^th Ave West to West Superior Street with a right turn on 24^th Ave W and back down to West Michigan Street. 

Duration of this closure will be through the weekend with anticipated reopening of the road on Tuesday, October 3^rd. The CIty asks that motorists drive cautiously near the work zone to ensure the safety of staff on site.
