On Friday, 11/17/17, Duluth Police Department officers responded to 13th Avenue East and London Road on the report of a motor vehicle crash where a pedestrian was struck while in the crosswalk. Upon arrival at the scene, Duluth Police officers located a 49-year-old female who had been struck by a vehicle while she was crossing the street. The female was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The hitting vehicle, described possibly as a later model Dodge Charger, dark grey in color, (Picture Attached to this Press Release is not the actual vehicle) with Minnesota license plates, driven by an unknown male, had left the scene prior to officer arrival. The outer passenger side mirror, believed to belong on the hitting vehicle, was found at the scene. Additionally, witnesses reported other front end damage to include the passenger side headlight broken as a result of the crash.
