SUBJECT: Woodland Avenue Construction to begin Monday, May 3rd

Motorists please be advised: Woodland Avenue Construction to begin Monday, May 3rd at 9:00 AM

Woodland Avenue will be closed between Norton Street and St. Marie Street starting Monday, May 3rd beginning at 9:00 AM for the purpose of rebuilding the road.

Motorists are asked to use the Wallace Avenue detour, which from the north begins at Arrowhead Road to Wallace Avenue then right on 4th Street, right on 24th Avenue East, left on Kent Road to Woodland Avenue.  Street signs will be erected to direct traffic to the detour route.

Access will be maintained to businesses and residences located in and around the Mt. Royal shopping area. Normal Construction hours will be from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

This phase of construction work is expected to last until July 17th, 2010.  The general contractor is Ulland Bros.
