Imagine Duluth Comprehensive Plan Update Sets 

Forward Vision for Duluth - Final Public Meetings Planned

 

[Duluth, MN] -The City of Duluth Imagine Duluth 2035 initiative staff have worked hard over the past year to engage and garner input from residents of all ages and visitors to Duluth in the hopes of ensuring that Duluth’s future growth is comprehensive and addresses the needs of transportation, housing, open spaces, economic development, and energy conservation. Imagine Duluth revives, refreshes and reflects on Duluth’s Comprehensive Plan from 2006 with 14 governing principles that drive land use and planning to build a healthy, active and equitable community.

 

Following on a productive year of engaging community members throughout the city at 110+ public meetings and analyzing 4778 completed surveys, the Imagine Duluth team is ready to share a final draft plan with the community. The team will host a series of public information meetings that encourages community input (voting) on which implementation strategies to pursue first; final feedback and dialogue about policies and strategies; and review and consider updates to the future land use map. This additional feedback culminates in an updated Duluth Comprehensive Plan 2035 that will require Council adoption.
