Duluth’s Cold Front February Celebrates Best of Winter Fun

[Duluth, MN] - Come celebrate winter! Duluth’s first Cold Front February will kick off with a Celebration on February 1-4, 2018 and is a collaboration between the City of Duluth, Zeitgeist Center for Arts & Community, the Duluth Transit Authority, the Canal Park Business Association, Visit Duluth, Greater Downtown Council, 8 80 Cities, and many other local restaurants and retailers.

For the kick off Celebration, Canal Park and Lake Place Park have been selected as central locations whereby creativity and Duluth’s best assets converge to expose winter’s beauty and opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy. During the multi-day Celebration, thrill seekers will be able to test out Duluth’s first ice skating trail that will hug the lakeshore between the Celebration grounds and Endion Station. A sledding hill, food vendors, beer samples, and pop up shops will delight event goers. The Celebration details will be finalized in the next couple of weeks and will be tailored to all ages and include free activities.

To kick off Cold Front February, Duluthians are invited to participate in the city’s largest coffee break and largest happy hour on Thursday, February 1, hosted by the Greater Downtown Council, Canal Park Business Association, Duluth Coffee Company, and Grandma’s restaurants:

10:00AM at Lake Place Park - Duluth’s Largest Coffee Break hosted by the Greater Downtown Council with Duluth Coffee Company providing FREE coffee

Donations will be accepted for Lakewalk Trail restoration

4:00PM at Grandma's Sports Garden - Duluth’s Largest Happy Hour

Donations will be accepted for Lakewalk Trail restoration

Mark your February calendars for all the Cold Front February events, look for updates, and plan to take the free trolley and layer up for some bold fun in the cold! Organizers hope to continue this winter tradition moving forward.

Cold Front organizers are also collecting area events from businesses and organizations for a Cold Front February community calendar, which will be found at www.coldfrontduluth.com
