Detour Planned For Mesaba Ave, At 4th St, To Accommodate Water Main Work

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth Public Works Department will be closing the north bound lanes of Mesaba Avenue at 4^th Street Friday evening through the weekend to facilitate a critical water main construction project.  The closure will begin at 8:00 PM Friday May 4^th and is expected to remain closed until 6:00 AM Monday morning.  A Detour route will be established utilizing 2^nd Street and 4^th Avenue West.  Truck traffic is also encouraged to use alternative routes such as Piedmont Avenue or 6^th Avenue East.
