Mayor Larson and Housing Advocates to Host News Conference in Response to

Trump Administration Housing Proposal

 

 

[Duluth, MN] - Mayor Emily Larson will host a news conference on Monday, May 7th at 12:00 pm in the Mayor’s Reception Room (411 W 1st St, Room 405) with local housing experts to speak out against the Trump administration, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) proposal to impose work requirements, rent increases, and other burdens on millions of low income families who receive federal housing assistance through HUD.

Mayor Larson will be joined by representatives from Loaves and Fishes, Damiano Center, Duluth’s Affordable Housing Coalition, other area experts, and those potentially impacted by this proposal.


There will be a brief speaking program, followed by an opportunity to ask questions, as well as one-on-one conversations following the program.
