Detour Planned for Southbound Mesaba Ave at West 4th St. for Water Main Work this Weekend

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Public Works Department will be closing the south bound lanes of Mesaba Avenue at West 4th Street starting Saturday, May 12 at about 4 am, through Sunday evening, to facilitate the continuation of a critical water main construction project which started last week. A detour route will be established utilizing 2nd Ave West for southbound traffic. Truck traffic is also encouraged to use alternative routes such as Piedmont Avenue or 6th Avenue East. There is no traffic impact to northbound Mesaba Ave.
