The Duluth Police Department along with our partners PAVSA (Program for Aid to Victims of Sexual Assault) and the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office are pleased to announce that all eligible sexual assault kits have been submitted for testing. This collaboration has been made possible through a Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) grant and with the support of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the MN Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MNCASA). The DPD will hold a press conference scheduled for Monday, May 21st at 2PM at the Mayor’s 4th Floor Reception Room in City Hall to address the initiative’s progress and next steps.
Speakers include: Chief of Police Mike Tusken, Mayor Emily Larson, County Attorney Mark Rubin, PAVSA Executive Director Candy Harshner, BCA Superintendent Drew Evans, and MNCASA Public and Legal Affairs Manager Caroline Palmer
