MEETING LOCATION: Railroad Street and Harbor Drive
This years Y.W.C.A. Mother’s Day Walk/Run takes place this Saturday, May 8th, 2010. Beginning at 7:45 AM, Duluth Police will close off Harbor Drive and the portion of Railroad Street between Fifth Avenue West and Garfield Avenue. Traffic will be detoured around the walk/run. The closures are expected to last until approximately 11::30 AM.
The 5K run starts at 8:00 AM on Harbor Drive behind the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). Runners will travel west on Railroad Street onto Garfield Avenue and return using the same route.
The Two Mile Walk will start at 9:30 AM and use a shortened but similar route on Harbor Drive and Railroad Street.
Please watch for runners/walkers and officers directing traffic in these areas during the event.
