NATURE OF INCIDENT: Structure Fire
CASE NO.: 18-006886
INCIDENT DATE: 7/9/2018
INCIDENT TIME: 23:13
INCIDENT LOCATION: #1 Greenbriar Drive

At 23:13 hours on July 9th, the Duluth Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at #1 Greenbriar Drive. Upon arrival fire rigs found a trailer home fully involved in fire, arriving Duluth fire crews immediately began dousing the flames and were able to efficiently knock down the fire, unfortunately due to the massive amount of flame the fire mostly consumed the trailer home. A report of two adult males and a dog that had exited the structure on their own was confirmed and all accounted for.

The fire extended into all areas of the trailer home and this fire will be considered a total loss. Radiant heat from the fire also damaged the siding to an adjacent trailer home but the owners are able to stay in their home. The residents of the fire were treated on the scene by Duluth Firefighters and Gold Cross ambulance for smoke inhalation and one was treated for severe burns and now is in Miller Dwan burn Center. There is no update as to his condition.

Initial damage estimates are $80,000  for the structure and $20,000 for contents. The Duluth Fire Marshal's office is investigating as to origin and cause of the fire and any further statement will be released from the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office.

Fire companies from the West Duluth Station , Lincoln Park Station and Headquarters Station responded to this fire.
